I think you guys should stop complaining quite so much about your poor selves and all the mean little rules that the big people have pushed on you.
Come to Noxon, if you think it’s really that bad. You’ll go running back to Troy and freedom in a damn heartbeat.

While I agree with your point of view about why nit-picky dress code rules are ridiculous and unneeded, you guys don’t know how good you have it.

Noxon is way worse.

Very nice Chris, I loved it. Exspecially, “My school is slowly being taken over by people who, in all fairness, probably aren’t aware that the 1950′s have ended. “I
mean honestly, couldn’t they think of something better than to try to
make us “better people” by restricting us more? Heaven forbid we do
something that WE believe is right and not what someone tells us is
right. Anywho, Dr. Notes and Parents calls should be enough for me to
get to go home for lunch still. I too didn’t like The Man,
until I talked to him for the second time. First time I was the “I’m a
badass and won’t listne to you” then, by the 2nd time for “stealing
food from the lunch ladies” he showed his sense of humor and made it
funny and cut the punishment. He’s a pretty rad guy, but I still don’t
believe some of what he wants. For example, I told him my sack lunch
would get warm, he said, “Good, then you will have hot lunch.” Got a
giggle out of me, but I’m still pissed that it will be warm. Or, the
fact that I have to eat bullshit food, and that, heaven forbid I get
ANY exercise during lunch, even if it is just walking to my truck and
back. Shit happens, hopefully it wont be so bad. *Side note* Most of my “friends” are younger cause all of them are older now and graduating and our class is fucking worthless. It’s too bad we just have to be another face in the crowd.

I’d
like to take now to encourage anybody who’s voting for a student body
president in the upcoming election to NOT VOTE FOR ANYONE WHO WON’T
REPRESENT US! If the rules have been shown for months, then it’s
probably way too late to change them now. Don’t vote for anyone who
won’t let us know what plans are. This last year has been a great
example of our representatives failing us miserably in that regard. Why
should we be taken seriously when that’s the best we have to express
ourselves with? Think people, please.

The
problem with old Hot Rod, is that he came from a completely different
culture (city), and has no fuckin idea about what he’s doing. He also
gets off at watching kids spoon in the hall. I realized this when i
passed two young lovers in the hall, looked up, and saw the camera. i
got a chuckle.Good ol’ voyeur principal. And i would not be surprised
if he bugged/video recorded our bathroom conversations.hell, I’d whip
it out and give him a show. WHEN IM BUY MYSELF YOU BUTT PIRATES!

Well I am glad that you all are having such a great time in troy…I
think all school boards are fucked up though. Mine voted to spend all
our money on extracorricular activities like football and not spend it
on academics. They actually said “lets cut teachers and classes and
keep sports” Bunch of fucking morons

Nicely put Chris….you did, however leave
out the part in the dress code about no body peircings. And just for
the information of any underclassmen that wishes to disobey these
rules(since im gone next year anyway) if you really wanted to push it,
this is a public school and you do have the rights of the constitution
still. such as freedom of speech which entailed in that is the right to
express yourself in many different ways such as clothing, hair, or
peircings as long as it isnt offensive to a certain person or group.

No, freedom of speech and freedom of expression are not the same.
The principle isn’t evil, nor perverse; I’d even go so far to say that
he’s a decent person. How he works is rather brutal seeming or odd
often, but I’d like to remind everyone that he was hired over other
qualified people. Antagonizing him is pointless, the rules don’t start
with him anyways. I can pretty well guarantee you that there
isn’t a court anywhere around that would even consider supporting our
“rights”, especially if you begin by rebelling. Try voting for change,
and going through the process. You should all know very well that if it
seems now that things might suck, then making the powers angry is going
to make things much, much worse. The party thing that got people in trouble is a good part of why these rules are going in, don’t forget that.
If you disagree, as I often think should happen, then please don’t do
anything loud and stupid. My senior year isn’t looking to free now as
it is, don’t screw it up for me…

concerning the no piercings rule, I didn’t know actually. Wonder what
the logic is behind that… “It’s shiny! I don’t like shiny things!

rules being implemented, not the man himself. Though the nature of said
rules does make me wonder about him…if you really wanted to push it, this is a public school and you do have the rights of the constitution stillI tried to avoid this issue in the post, as I thought it was a bit dicey. The supreme court ruled in 1969 that “students & teachers do not shed their constitutional rights at the gate”.But
the problem is that it’s also your constitutional right to wear
vulgar/offensive shirts. However, when you’re on school property,
you’re subject to whatever rules they have…So the question becomes, are these rules constitutional or not?And then it gets entirely too tedious after that for me to go into in a single comment…
