Wow, this certainly doesn’t live up to the hype I gave it does it?
Welcome to the new site, which is essentially the same thing as the old one minus the .blogspot. But I didn’t go through all this trouble not to tack on some insignificant new features…
There’s a couple static pages you can click on up at the top right, under “pages”. Really just basic info, though I’m hoping to eventually have a video page with some of my work there.
Posts are now organized into categories according to content in addition to being archived by month.
Comments are a little different here. There’s two required fields, name and email. Emails aren’t displayed, and I’m not sure I can actually look at them anyways, so feel free to use a fake one. And for those of you with blogspot accounts, if you commented on the previous site using your blogspot address, your name links to your profile just as it did there. So if you’re really clever you can copy and paste your profile/blog address into the website field for consistency…
And I know, it obviously it took weeks to perfect the stunning visuals here. Blue, gray, and *gasp* white too. I wasn’t aiming for anything too exciting though, as anything more than this tends to get distracting.
That about does it I suppose. I’ll have a much needed new post up sometime soon hopefully, but in the meantime, feel free to be awed by my shiny new site.
It’s 1:45AM. I am tired. I don’t know why I am posting. I am obnoxious.
Well, with that said, awesome website Chris! I really don’t know you- I was going to keep typing about something that actually applies to this comment but I just noticed something.
“I really don’t know you.”
Does that make sense? Can you “really” not know someone or can you just not know someone? I wonder. Anyway, back to the original thought…
Alright so, you know what’s sort of strange and maybe even worthy of pointing out (which I will even if it isn’t)? Last time I went to bed, couldn’t sleep, got online, and blogged, I also “blog-browsed” and came across the Stupid Chronicles. Tonight-or, this morning- I went to bed, couldn’t sleep, got online, blogged and then clicked on the “Next Blog” link and it brought me to the Stupid Chronicles. Creepy? I would say so.
Anyway, allow me to introduce myself. Although, I do believe, I’ve already e-mailed you once or twice before…maybe. Well, I am not someone people would actually want to meet. Heck, if I were anyone else and I existed in my life (as someone else) I wouldn’t want to be remotely associated with me. Why? I really don’t know. All I know is: I would creep myself (as someone else still) out.
I am so weird, pessimistic and sarcastic that it’s not even funny. Actually, I don’t even know why it would be funny in the first place! However (and I ‘ve read a few of these posts and comments which could support this thesis wonderfully) people seem to find negative, intelligent, sarcastic and humorous people “funny” or, at least, thought-provoking. Why? I think it’s because they know they would never think about the reasoning behind things and then proceed onto trying to analyze it in a witty sort of fascinating way. Is humanity really that doomed? Damn, that really is disheartening.
O.k. well I have began to ramble so I shall stop myself abruptly.
My point was this is a cool web site which during cold, boring spring nights in Oregon can be quite entertaining. It might even be entertaining tomorrow night when I’m bored in San Francisco. (No, there really was no point in my mentioning my visit to San Francisco. I guess it just sort of added pizzazz or excitement, or something corny like that, to this comment).
Come to think of it, there really was no point to this comment which, if you haven’t noticed, has began to grow remarkably lengthy. I think that’s a sign. I’m going to stop typing and wasting your time. Peace.
Diana the Random Insomniac.
I have no clue who this “Diana the Random Insomniac” is, but I already like her posting here. Not because I particularly enjoyed reading the long run on of randomness, but because she is random and an insomniac. That’s enough to make me happy, Hell I wish our world was covered in random insomniacs like this, holy shit this comment is so off subject better stop to avoid “THE MAN”
Dan! Your spelling is improving!
However (and I ‘ve read a few of these posts and comments which could support this thesis wonderfully) people seem to find negative, intelligent, sarcastic and humorous people “funny” or, at least, thought-provoking.
And then there are those comments that prove some people are simply not finding this sort of thing thought-provoking or humorous (i.e. the suicide post), which ends up being hilarious in itself.
Thanks for the comment though. Again, your rambling is anything but obnoxious or a waste of time…
“Well, I am not someone people would actually want to meet.”
?!?!!
Odd, that makes it sound like you kill people in horrible ways. That being said, I’m an insomniac too!
