You know, I find that, in the context of your comment, a bit ridiculous. You’re essentially saying Chris is being less than honest (putting it nicely doesn’t make it any less serious a charge) and then refusing to discuss it any further. I don’t think you can have it both ways. Either you back up your comment on here or you keep it out of here completely.

As Chris pointed out, this is not an inappropriate venue. It’s no different than a public meeting, except your words are going to be here for a long time. Since this topic seems like it’s appropriate for public discussion and no one interested in open discussion should have a problem with their words being out there for all to see, I can’t see why this place isn’t as good as any to discuss it.

Oh? I presented all the facts I’ve been given (3rd paragraph). But I’ve got time, so here they are again: It is suspected he had dealings with a student involving drugs, and because of this, God FORBID we acknowledge taking money from his father in the memory his son left us as a teacher. It’s extremely hypocritical to accept someone’s generosity, but not acknowledge it.

Now, since we’re all here lecturing each other on the presentation of facts and what not, how many of them have you or the administration presented to the town of Troy in any way, shape, or form?

While I can understand you might have a personal preference for face-to-face discussion, I see no reason why said discussion can’t be had here. There’s a number of logical, well-mannered individuals that comment here (Heliologue, Speedkill, your son, Jed, Keith occasionally, etc) and would provide a reasonable discussion of this topic. A public meeting of any sort would be exactly the same- a couple intelligent folks mixed in with a sizable group of idiots.

I am not a hypocrite nor a coward. I welcome an honest–and complete–discussion of the who/what/when/where/why’s. of the decisions that were rendered and the facts that lead up to them. This forum is not the vehicle for such a discussion, however.
